HEADSHOT SESSION

Thank you for trusting me to capture you at our session. Filling out this form gives me permission to use your likeness in any digital media form as I continue to grow my business.

Summary

The photographer (Jocie Bishop) is agreeing to fulfill the work discussed between themself and the client by the agreed-upon deadlines. The client agrees to meet payment deadlines and make any requests known by the agreed-upon timeline for production.

What do both parties agree to do?

Photographer:

Before the session:

  • The photographer agrees to keep in contact with the client in regards to finding out about their hopes and expectations and communicating what they know they can accomplish.

  • Agrees to give an estimated timeline for post-production once the day and time are established.

During the session:

  • The photographer agrees to capture the requested footage to the best of their ability and prepare ahead of time to ensure the best possible quality of capture.

  • The photographer will communicate about any emergencies at least 24 hours before the scheduled session both by email and by phone call.

  • The photographer will be on-site 15 minutes before the session begins and will leave at the end of the agreed-upon session time.

After the session:

  • The photographer agrees to edit and compile the footage to the best of their ability and to meet the timelines given to the client.

  • All footage will be shared with the client via Google Drive. While the media is owned by Jocie Bishop, the client has permission to share, publish and print the media however they wish.

Client:

Before the session:

  • The client agrees to keep in contact with the photographer and share any hopes or expectations they may have for the session. This includes details about the setting, specific poses, and their intention for the photos.

  • The client agrees to complete the Photo Release form and inform the photographer of any requests to withhold the publication of a particular subject’s likeness.

  • The client agrees to either pay a non-refundable deposit (50% of the total invoice – the total invoice being $150.00) or they may pay the total invoice before the start of the session. A non-refundable deposit is accepted with the agreement that the client will pay the final 50% before they receive the agreed-upon media.

During the session:

  • The client agrees to communicate any last-minute changes or emergencies to the photographer within 3 hours of the session’s scheduled meeting time.

After the session:

  • The client agrees to pay the final installment before they receive the media. The payment of the final installment is not dependent upon the client’s satisfaction with the media, rather the allowance of the deposit/final payment system gives the client a way to utilize a payment plan.

Copyrights

Once the footage is shared and published, the client will have permission to publish, share virtually, or print the media as they wish. Jocie Bishop requests that no one makes adjustments to the photos after they have been shared, as any added filters or editing would possibly affect other people’s perception of her capture and editing style. The client is allowed to make copies of the photos to share with loved ones and even upload them to a personal online platform, with the agreement that they credit the photographer (@jociebishop or @jocietakesphotos) in the description.

Photo Release Statement

By agreeing to these terms, I give Jocie Bishop permission to use my likeness in any digital media format (e.g., photo, video, website, and other web-related publications) without payment and release any and all copyright ownership or claims.

I understand that by agreeing to these terms, I am giving permission to release photos of all parties involved in the photo session unless otherwise communicated via email. If I have a circumstance where I or a participant can’t have their photos released online (foster child, overseas worker, etc.) I take responsibility to communicate those limitations in writing before the session begins.

Payments & Schedule

Payment Agreement:

An upfront payment of 50% ($75.00) as a non-refundable deposit for the project is to be paid before the session will be booked. The client may pay the full deposit upfront if they desire to do so. A session will not be “booked” until the deposit (or full payment) is paid. This means the photographer is under no contractual obligation to be available for the requested date and time until the session is “booked”. If a payment plan is requested the remaining installment of 50% ($75.00) must be paid before the footage will be given to the client.

The total invoice for this project is $150.00 USD.

Payment Method:

Payments can be sent to the photographer via a Zelle invoice that the photographer will initiate, or via an in-person or mailed-in check. An invoice can be sent to the email of the primary contact once this contract is signed by the client and shared with the photographer. An additional invoice will be sent to the same contact once the session has been captured.
