Frequently asked questions
-
Before our session even begins, we will chat about how comfortable you feel in front of the camera, what location fits your visions, and go over some wardrobe styling tips.
Once we meet, we will chat at the beginning about the session and what to expect and then spend the rest of our time doing mini-games that result in fun poses, and capturing your essence on camera.
Print them for your home, order prints, post them on social media, or store them away for use in future albums. If you need suggestions for where to receive quality prints, I’d be happy to help and advise you.

That is why you are considering hiring me as your photographer. I’ve been developing my ability to pose you in ways that fit the feel of your session, and have several prompts that make posing effortless and fun.
If you have specific visions we can also collaborate on a vision board with example photos so you can see poses ahead of time.

Having captured portraits in Dallas, Arlington, and Fort Worth I have plenty of ideas for the different feels you may want. Here are some examples of descriptors you could use:
Urban, modern, woodsy, lush, rustic, warm, elegant, cozy, bright, moody, interactive, [insert place that is meaningful to you].

After our session, it takes me anywhere from a few days to two weeks to have your photos processed and back to you. I share them with you digitally so you will be able to immediately download them and save them to your computer.
For weddings, it may take up to 3-4 weeks to process your photos, depending on how busy the season is (summer and fall are the busiest seasons for photographers).

If you don’t feel confident cropping a photo to the exact dimension you need for a print, please feel free to email me to ask me to crop it for you.
If you would like me to do light edits, such as removing acne scarring, lightening wrinkles, and softening scars or blemishes, chat with me ahead of time! I can often do these types of edits, but may need to charge a $50 fee for the extra time it will take to hand-edit the photos.
If you are wanting me to emulate the style of a different photographer that you have seen online, I won’t be able to accommodate that request. Please feel free to look through my portfolio and blog posts to get a feel for my editing style — you’re hiring me for my capture ability as well as my editing style.

Unfortunately, I cannot deliver every single photo from the session (trust me, there are faces even your mother might not love!).
If you would like to “proof” your photos (see all the photos and choose your favorites from the session for me to then edit), I could make that service available to you for a $15 fee!
Know that if you choose to “proof” the photos you will be seeing the unedited versions of the photos and will not be able to download or screenshot them. I will also need to request full payment for the session before emailing you the link to proof them.

The short answer is no.
Here are a few points to explain my reasoning:
- RAW files are ugly
- Having possession of RAW files is like having the negatives, therefore having ownership of the copyright
- It's like asking an artist for their paint, canvas, and painting to be half complete already
- RAW files are HUGE and do not transfer easily
- You most likely wouldn't have the software to even open a RAW image
- Not everyone has the ability to store such big files
- A photographer's editing style is their art -- why hire a photographer if you aren't interested in their style?
